How to get out of the grid
Upon leaving the Starting Blocks at the start of a race track is one thing that many new riders fear. They have been trained how to do it, but nevertheless, this is the first time you have to use the skills they have learned and apply it to a real life situation. Many runners are not completely sure what to do after leaving the starting blocks, when to start running, which stand to start with good and how hard to push.
The position of the starting block to make it convenient for you, if possible. If not, be placed where you feel you will get the best push of the start block. If you are not sure you’ll get a good push off, you could end up costing yourself a career. This is usually a trial and error, because each individual is different.
Bend the knee a bit and get back into position. The first knee is fully bent. This will be the knee that pushes you to take when you’re ready to run. You want to have your back straight and shoulders back.
Addresses the issue. Touching the issue on the fingers gives the best runners to push. This ensures that your back is straight and that the corridor is a good Starting Blocks position.
